September 2012 Registration

Playful Pals Playschool is currently in the planning stages for our 2012/13 program.  This past year, we included many new and exciting events including our FIRST parents evening.  Alka Burman an Early Literacy Specialist spoke about the importance of literacy/reading in the toddler/preschool age group.  We also had some exciting visitors including the Mississauga Fire Department, Reptilia Zoo and the Mississauga Librarians.  We are planning to continue these types of special events next school year.

Playful Pals is currently accepting registration for both our morning program (8:30 - 10:30 a.m.) as well as our afternoon program (12:15 - 2:15 p.m.).  If you have any questions about our program, facility or registration process, please call us at 905-858-5910 ext. 162 or 710.

Playful Pals Playschool/Preschool is hosting an open house this Saturday, June 2, 2012.  Come out and see what our program and facility have to offer.  The open house will run from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon.

Just a reminder that next week playschool will run on Monday, May 28, TUESDAY, May 29, and Wednesday, May 30.  Wednesday is our playschool graduation ceremony.  Please remember the times for graduation are DIFFERENT than a normal playschool day.  Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Morning Session 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon Session 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Special Guests - Wednesday, May 16th

Please remember this week Playschool runs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  This Wednesday we have a special group of guests coming to visit our classroom.  Your children will be learning all about Reptiles from the experts at Reptilia.  We hope the "Little Friends" enjoy the visit.

We are now taking registration for September 2012.  If you wish to save your child's spot for next year, please provide your $25.00 registration fee as soon as possible.  Spaces are provided on a first come first serve basis.

Picture Day

Parents,

Today was picture day - it was a great success. All parents will be given instructions to order pictures early next week.

GUEST SPEAKER

Want to know how to promote children's early language and literacy development? Where to find information and resources to support you in your role as a parent or caregiver? or What types of activities you can do with children everyday?

Please join us on April 11, 2012, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the playschool for an evening of adult socializing, education and fun.

Alka Burman an Early Literacy Specialist with the Region of Peel will join us to discuss the importance of literacy, and how parents and caregivers can help to promote literacy skills in
children.

Refreshments and treats will be provided. There will be giveaways of specially selected age appropriate learning materials.

Please R.S.V.P. no later than Thursday, April 5, 2012 by phone or person.

Session 2 Registration
