Parking

Parents, please be aware that Playful Pals is not permitted to park in the area designated "Daycare Parking". These spots are reserved for the parents of the children who attend PLASP. Playful Pals is also not permitted to park in the area designated "Staff Parking". These spots are reserved for office and secretarial staff.

Please park in the visitor parking lots around the school. If you need assistance, please ask Mrs. Short or Ms. Whitford.

Welcome Back

Welcome Back Little Buddies and Parents!

This is our first week back at playschool. Mrs. Short, Ms. Whitford and the Big Friends at Playful Pals are looking forward to meeting all of our new Little Friends. This week we will be learning all about numbers. Some of the activities include Chicka Chicka 1-2-3, and our Number and Letter Scrapbooks.

We hope you all enjoy your first week at playschool, and we look forward to many more.

Session II Registration Now In Progress

Playful Pals is now taking registration for session II beginning on Feb 23. If you are interested in our program please call to schedule a visit to our facility. We can be reached Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. You can also leave us a voicemail and we will return your call as soon as possible. Mittens & Scarves

With the cold weather upon us, we will be teaching the children all about winter weather. The teachers-of-the-week have developed some beautiful bulletin boards to teach the children about winter clothing. They have also developed many fun games which utilize fine motor skills, problem solving skills and recognition skills. This week we also have some special guests - musicians. They will be playing some holiday music for the children.

Holiday Party

Dear Parents:

We invite you to join us with your child on Thursday, December 18th for Playful Pals Playschool annual festive holiday party. There is NO playschool on Friday, December 19th, due to changes in the highschool schedule.

Morning session:
Please arrive with your child at 9:30 a.m. NOT 8:30 a.m.

Afternoon session:
Please arrive with your child at 1:15 p.m. NOT 12:15 p.m.

We have been rehearsing and are looking forward to seeing you!

Playful Pals Staff and Students

All About Me

This week the children will be learning all about themselves. They will be learning about the different parts of the body, how to take care of themselves and their emotions. The "teachers-of-the-week" have many fun activities planned. The game shown teaches children how to dress themselves and also teaches the parts of the body (head, shoulders, knees, toes, eyes, ears, mouth and nose). One of the songs that we will be singing this week is called 'head and shoulders'. We hope that the children share this song with you at home.
