Welcome - Week #1

Welcome "little friends" and parents. The playschool staff and students have been very busy getting ready for our 2010 school year. We have many fun activities planned. This week, the little friends will be learning all about school.

Please note that this week playschool will run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to Ms. Whitford or Mrs. Short.

**Parking**

Dear Parents,

Please be advised that parking in the staff and/or daycare parking spots may result in a ticket and/or your car may be towed. Please park in the parking lot to the west of the school. If you need further clarification, please ask.

****Fall Registration****

Playful Pals is now accepting registration for the fall. The fall session begins on Sept. 20 and runs through until Dec. 15. If you are interested in hearing more about our program please feel free to call us at (905) 858-5910 ext. 162, OR drop in after Sept. 7, between 8:30 - 2:30.

Bunnies, Bunnies, Bunnies Week 5

REMINDER

Dear Parents,

This week we would like to remind you that Playschool runs 2 days. We will not be open Friday April, 2 as this is the Easter holiday. Playschool will resume on Wednesday April 7th.

This week your children will be learning all about the spring season - about the different types of bunnies and what bunnies do. We have many fun crafts and games planned for their enjoyment. These activities are geared towards enhancing the children's fine motor and problem solving skills. We hope your children enjoy these activities and welcome any feedback or suggestions for the future.

Neighbourhood Helpers

This week we will be welcoming some special guests. We have two police officers visiting our playschool. They will be speaking with the children about safety in our homes and our neighbourhood.

As the holidays are fast approaching, we are beginning our holiday concert rehearsals this week. We encourage parents and children to practice songs at home. If you would like a copy of the words, please ask Mrs. Short or Ms. Yearwood.

Old MacDonald's Farm

This week we have a special guest. A librarian from the public library will be visiting our classroom and sharing a special story and circle time all about farm animals. We hope that the children enjoy this experience and that it sparks their interest in literacy.

Week 3 - I Am Thankful For...

This week the children will be learning all about the celebration of Thanksgiving. Friday they will be constructing a turkey craft. The children will also be continuing to work on their letter scrapbooks and take a trip to the library this week. Please note that next week the schedule for playschool is changed due to the long weekend.
