Want to know how to promote children's early language and literacy development? Where to find information and resources to support you in your role as a parent or caregiver? or What types of activities you can do with children everyday?

Please join us on April 11, 2012, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the playschool for an evening of adult socializing, education and fun.

Alka Burman an Early Literacy Specialist with the Region of Peel will join us to discuss the importance of literacy, and how parents and caregivers can help to promote literacy skills in
children.

Refreshments and treats will be provided. There will be giveaways of specially selected age appropriate learning materials.

Session 2 Registration

Graduation

Dear Parents,

We have started rehearsing for our upcoming graduation. We are hoping that you can help your child by practicing the songs at home. The graduation is being held on June 1 (Wednesday). We will update you regarding the time of the concert, in the next week or two.

Showers & Flowers Week #6

This week we have a special guest coming to visit. Patricia from our local library (Mississauga Library) is coming to visit and perform a special circle and story time. We hope all the little friends enjoy her visit.

Under the Sea - Week #5

This week, the children will be learning all about the creatures that live under the sea. We will be learning about fish, octopus, turtles, lobsters and many more. The teachers this week have many fun activities planned that focus on the child's fine motor skills, as well as many numeracy and literacy connections. This week we are also starting to practice some of our songs for our graduation ceremony. We are starting to learn the song: "There I Was". This song can be found in the blue duotang that all parents recieved during the first week of session 2. We hope you can help your child practice at home. Thank-you, Playschool Staff
