Over the past few weeks we have been working on a number of different skills including fine motor, concept attainment and patterning skills. Concept attainment involves students learning to classify a set of object or events and will aid in their scientific knowledge. Patterning skills help preschoolers with math skills. "A preschooler must grasp several key concepts to begin to learn math. These concepts include sorting, counting and patterning. Use of these three concepts while doing everyday activities helps a preschooler understand" the math concepts. We will continue to work on these skills, as they are difficult and require practice. If you have any questions/concerns about any of the activities/crafts that your child brings home, please feel free to ask Mrs. Short or Ms. Whitford.
This week we are continuing to practice for our holiday concert. We hope the children are practicing at home.
