Shapes

This week the children will be learning about all different types of shapes. They will be learning about the circle, square, triangle, rectangle and many more. We have many fun and creative crafts this week. We hope you enjoy talking about them at home.

Music Makers

This week, your child will be learning all about music. They will have the opportunity to see live musicians (teachers-of-the-week) and learn about the different instruments that they play. They will also have the opportunity to make and play instruments of their own. The children will be learning the beat of music through these activities.

The game shown (Monkey's Music Match) is based on the children's book Monkey's Marching Band by Michaela Muntean and Nicole Rubel. Your child will learn about the cymbals, the trumpet, the piccolo, the tuba, the drum and the xylophone. This game uses children's fine motor skills as well as their recognition skills. We hope they enjoy putting together their own marching band.
